A power adjustment system of the present invention is provided with: a fuel cell connected to a load; and a multi-phase converter connected between the fuel cell and the load and comprising multiple phases, for converting an output voltage of the fuel cell at a predetermined requested voltage ratio. The power adjustment system is further provided with a ripple current characteristics switching unit for switching a ripple current characteristics of the multi-phase converter with respect to the input current by changing the number of driving phases and/or the voltage ratio of the multi-phase converter in accordance with the operation state of the fuel cell and the power requested by the load.
