PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine and an assembly method thereof which are capable of easily fixing a metal plate to a motor yoke.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine of the present invention comprises: a cylindrical motor yoke 14 which houses an armature 12 in a rotatable manner; a resin end housing 16 which is provided in a shaft direction of the armature 12 aligned with the motor yoke 14, and closes an opening of the motor yoke 14; a noise shield cover 18 as a metal plate attached to the end housing 16; and caulking pieces 56 which are formed to the motor yoke 14, caulked to the end housing 16 via a part of the noise shield cover 18, and fix the end housing 16 and the noise shield cover 18 to the motor yoke 14. |
