PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce air quantity and wind speed blown out of an opening face on a front side of a fan guard having grille structure and to reduce the degree of rise in static pressure so as to reduce noise caused by an interference between grille elements of a blow-off grille and a blown-off air current. SOLUTION: This air blowing unit comprises a main body casing, an air blower provided on an air blowing passage inside the main body casing, and the fan guard in which a blow-off face provided on an air blow-off port of the main body casing has the grille structure and frame wall parts has cylindrical shapes. Openings for blowing off air are provided on frame wall faces of the cylindrical frame wall parts of the fan guard. Due to this configuration, air is blown out also from the openings of the frame wall faces of the cylindrical frame wall parts, and due to such an air flow, the quantity of air blown out from the air blow-off face of the grille structure is reduced, leading to reduction in the speed of the blow-off air. As a result, the degree of rise in static pressure is also declined, and noise caused by the interference between the grille elements of the blow-off grille portion and the blown-off air current is also reduced.
