Disclosed is a unit for attachment to a shelf capable of detecting attachment to and detachment from a shelf of a communication device, which can rapidly detect attachment to and detachment from a shelf of a communication device, and which can provide information about the detection as a signal. The unit for attachment to a shelf capable of detecting attachment to and detachment from a shelf of a communication device comprises: a printed circuit board (PCB); a switch which is disposed on the PCB, and includes a trigger portion adapted to control an operation state of the unit for attachment to a shelf; and an ejector which is rotatably hinged to at least one corner portion of the PCB, includes front and rear protrusion portions disposed at one end of the ejector and each supported by a support protrusion disposed on a shelf when rotating in opposite directions, and includes a switch contact portion adapted to operate the switch by coming into contact with the trigger portion when rotating in one direction. According to the unit for attachment to a shelf capable of detecting attachment to and detachment from a shelf of a communication device, the switch operating based on a state of the ejector is included, thereby enabling an attached or detached state of the unit for attachment to a shelf to be rapidly detected before a change in a state of connection to a connector disposed on a rear surface of the shelf. In particular, according to the unit for attachment to a shelf capable of detecting attachment to and detachment from a shelf of a communication device, when operation of the unit is switched, the ejector is rotated in order to attach or detach a unit to be replaced, and simultaneously operation can be immediately switched from the operation of the unit to the operation of a unit on standby by using a signal generated through operation of the switch. |
