The profiled support batten (1) has a lower edge which may hold the bottom edge of insulation and reinforced (12) wall plaster (7) in a building. The batten is J-shaped and has a row of round holes in the upright of the J-shape. It is held on a baseplate (2) on top of a member (10) fitting in socket. Fastening nails (5) are used to hold a support post (11) with a front face (11') holding the reinforcement for the wall plaster. The baseplate and a corresponding plate on the bottom of the post have alternate round holes (4) and elongated slits (4').
