PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing nail driving apparatus, which accurately and steadily drive the fixing nail to a preliminarily set and determined nail driving portion without driving the nail in a wrong position. SOLUTION: A positioning projection 19 projecting from a driving port 7 of an apparatus body 2 composing the fixing nail driving apparatus 1 is driven into an edge portion Ba of a tatami mat B to regulate the driving position. The driving port 7 is pressed against the edge portion Ba, and a safety valve 15 is sunk into the driving port 7. After the fixing of a switch lever 10 by a malfunction preventing mechanism 29 has been released, the switch lever 10 is operated so as to be switched on. A plurality of the fixing nails A driven from the driving port 7 are fixed to the edge portion Ba covered with an edge cloth Bb of the tatami mat B. Further, the driving port 7 is separated from the edge portion Ba of the tatami mat B, and the safety valve 15 is projected from the driving port 7, and the switch lever 10 is fixed by the malfunction preventing mechanism 29 so as to inhibit operation.
