PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sintered bearing that can not only reduce costs of the sintered bearing by using flat copper powder to reduce the amount of copper used but also can achieve stable bearing performance by suppressing dispersion of containing amounts of the flat copper powder in mass production.SOLUTION: A mold is filled with a raw material powder prepared by mixing iron powder, copper powder containing flat copper powder, low-melting-point metallic powder, and solid lubricant powder, and a green compact formed by the mold is sintered to manufacture a sintered bearing. The solid lubricant powder is made into a foil state, and the raw material powder is obtained by mixing the flat copper powder and the solid lubricant powder in the primary mixture and by adding and mixing the iron powder and the low-melting-point metallic powder in the subsequent secondary mixture. |
