<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transfer system and an information transfer method capable of conveniently transferring information between a plurality of information handling apparatuses even in an environment where a communication system etc. is not specifically prepared, and to provide an information handling apparatus adaptable to the system or method. <P>SOLUTION: A common memory card 103 is circulated among a video recorder 101, a television set 102, a multi-media player 104 and a digital still camera 105 by attaching and detaching it, and information carried by the memory card 103 is delivered and received among the information handling apparatuses (101, 102, 104 and 105) to transfer the information.
