PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precision grinding device which carries out grinding of the tip of a grinding object (w), and can always ensure the same high quality of a grinding finishing surface of each of the grinding objects (w) after completion of the grinding. SOLUTION: The precision grinding device is formed of a plane reciprocating head 62 for detachably abutting part of a grinding tape 61 on a tip surface of the grinding object, and a head transfer mechanism 56 for holding the head and transferring the same toward the grinding object (w). The head transfer mechanism 56 is comprised of a head holding mechanism 71 for hanging and holding the plane reciprocating head 62, a head reciprocative driving mechanism 70 for reciprocating the part of the grinding tape 61 and the plane reciprocating head 62 together in one body, and a grinding surface inclination minutely adjusting means 72 for minutely adjusting the inclination of a grinding abutting surface of the plane reciprocating head 62 via the head holding mechanism 71.
