PURPOSE:To prevent step-out of a motor immediately after synchronization by making the reading speed of an original and the transferring speed of a picture different, using a pulse motor for reading the original and carrying of paper, etc. and using it at the outside of self-starting area. CONSTITUTION:A pluse CK2 synchronized with a pulse CK1 for reading the original and transfer data is used. A pulse CK1 is used from reading of the original to color conversion, a pulse CK2 is used from output of the transfer data to picture transfer, and carrying of paper, etc. is made by a pulse a synchronous with pulses CK1, CK2. Accordingly, the reading speed of the original and the transferring speed of picture can be made different, and a photoelectric convertor 13, signal processing circuit for color conversion, etc., a heat-sensitive head 31, etc. can be operated at a speed suitable for the devices. A pulse motor can be used for reading the original, carrying of paper P, etc., and the motor can be used at the outside of self-staring area. By synchronizing a platen motor with the pulse CK2, step-out of the motor immediately after synchronization can be prevented.
