<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible handrail coping joint of new structure bendable according to a bend angle and dispensing with machining at a construction site. SOLUTION: An elastic connecting plate rod 4 formed of a soft or semi-hard synthetic resin 4 is laid between a pair of edge fitting members 1, 1 of such structure as to be fitted to linear handrail coping edges. A large number of coping outline plates are formed of a hard synthetic resin into plate shape of almost the same outline as the cross-sectional outline of connected handrail copings (a), (a) and slidably inserted to the outside of the elastic connecting plate rod 4, and peripheral edge lips 10 formed at the adjacent coping outline plates 7 are successively overlapped to form a coping outline face without a clearance.</p> |
