Invention concerns an analogy process for production of previously unknown esters of 2-alkylthiazol-5-carboxylic acid with the general formula I given in the introduction to the claim or salt thereof with mineral acids or organic acids. In formula I, X in particular represents a methyl-, ethyl-, methoxy-, ethoxy-, propoxy-, or isopropoxy- group, while the value of m is preferably 0, 1, or 2.
