Automated process for cutting stripping and crimping of contacts onto bundled electrical conductor wires

The automated process is used to strip the insulation from the ends of wires in a bundle, and to crimp onto the ends electrical connectors. The machine has a sorting station for the wires (2), a separating station (3) an insulation stripping station (4) and a crimping station (5). The stripping station is of a conventional type with wire grippers and cutter blades and the ends of the wires are fed into the crimping stage. The settings of the crimping station with regard to depth of crimp is determined by a selector that responds to parameters used by the stripping stage.
