<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the possibility in which the captioned lamp might be mis-inserted into a socket which is a stabilizer separating type and besides a usual incandescent lamp type, by installing on the end face of a screw-in type base, an insulating seat which is projecting from the periphery of a central electrode of a lamp-base in the captioned lamp. CONSTITUTION:In a spherical shell 1, a curved discharge lamp 2 and a glow- stater 3 are enclosed; lead wires 4 and 5 provided for connecting said lamp 2, and starter 3 to a stabilizer which is enclosed in the instrument side are connected to an outer electrode 6a and a central electrode 6b of the screw-in type base 6 installed on the spherical shell 1, where a cylindrical insulating seat 7 whose diameter is smalller than that of the end surface of the base is installed concentrically. On the other hand, on the bottom surface of a socket 9 on the side of the instrument 8 containing the stabilizer S, an annular concavity 10 which receives said insulating seat 7 is provided concentrically with the socket 9. Said insulating seat 7 can be tightly and completely inserted into the annular concavity 10 so that the lamp can be lighted. Said insulating seat 7 can mechanically protect the base center electrode.</p> |
