FAX TRANSMITTER AND FAX TRANSMITTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the convenience of a FAX transmitter by transmitting an electronic mail as FAX data to a destination at the outside of a network of an electronic mail system so as to extend an electronic mail transmission range up to a range covered by a public line so that a sender can transmit an electronic mail and a FAX transmission document in a similar way. SOLUTION: The facsimile terminal consists of an electronic mail reception section 101 that can receive an electronic mail, a FAX number generating section 102 that extracts information relating to a FAX number of a destination from contents of the electronic mail received by the electronic mail reception section to generate a FAX number of the destination, a FAX transmission section 103 that transmits the contents of the electronic mail to the FAX number of the destination generated by the FAX transmission section 103 and a sender processing section that extracts information relating to an electronic mail sender from the contents of the received electronic mail and processes the information.
