PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brilliant ink composition for a ball point pen capable of inhibiting abrasion of a ball receiver by rolling of a boll for long time even when incorporating an aqueous ink having high brilliancy using a brilliant tabular pigment into the ball point pen, and capable of securing good ink discharge property and excellent writing feeling similar to an initial stage for long distance and long term, and to provide a ball point pen incorporating the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a brilliant ink composition for a ball point pen containing a tabular pigment, a microcapsule particle having inclusion, a shear thixotropy imparting agent and water, and having a blending ratio between the tabular pigment (blending amount a) and the microcapsule particle (blending amount b) (weight ratio b/a) of 0.5 to 5. There is also provided a ball point pen incorporating the brilliant ink composition for the ball point pen. |
