PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method that suppresses the occurrence of roughened fixed images.SOLUTION: An image forming method comprises: a plural toner image forming step of forming a plurality of toner images; a transfer step of transferring the plurality of toner images onto a recording medium; and a fixing step of fixing the plurality of toner images on the recording medium. When an abundance ratio of a mold release agent on the surface of a toner that is a constituent of the n-th toner image from the recording medium side of the plurality of toner images transferred on the recording medium is W1(n), the following formula (3) is satisfied.
