PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle receiver that can excellently receive ground-wave broadcast when the ground-wave broadcast is received while moving by a vehicle.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle receiver has horizontal polarization antennas (11, 21), vertical polarization antennas (12, 22), a determining unit (10) for determining whether the present position of a vehicle is in a transmission area of horizontal polarization waves or a transmission area of vertical polarization waves, an antenna switching circuit (13) for switching a first circuit state where a reception signal received by the horizontal polarization wave antennas (11, 21) is output to a reception circuit, and a second circuit state where a reception signal received by the vertical polarization wave antennas (12, 22) is output to the reception circuit, and a switching controller (10) for switching the antenna switching circuit (13) to the first circuit state when the present position of the vehicle is in the transmission area of the horizontal polarization waves, and switching the antenna switching circuit (13) to the second circuit state when the present position of the vehicle is in the transmission area of the vertical polarization waves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
