The present invention relates to a carbon nanotube having excellent dispersibility and a method for manufacturing the same. Provided is a carbon nanotube, the wall of which has parallel sections, and constricted sections where the tube outer diameter thereof is not greater than 90% of the tube outer diameter of the parallel sections, wherein the abundance of easily-breakable sites makes dispersion easy.
