The main driving shaft starting circuit is separately connected to a starting switch (SB2) and a switch power supply (10) and is used for controlling the electrification of the switch power supply (10) when the starting switch (SB2) is pressed. The switch power supply (10) converts an external alternating current power supply into a direct current power supply and supplies the direct current power supply to the turning rotating speed control circuit and the gear milling rotating speed control circuit. The present invention also relates to a control method for a gear milling mechanism. The control circuit for the gear milling mechanism is incorporated into the circuit of an original mechanical automatic lathe, so that the control on the turning rotating speed and the gear milling rotating speed is realized, the lathe turning processing and the gear milling machine processing are combined into one processing, the efficiency of the whole gear production processing is greatly increased, and the manufacturing costs of a gear are reduced.
