PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for perforating a glass substrate capable of preventing scattering of solar cell particles pulverized by perforating means and scattering/immersion of liquid such as water to unnecessary parts, and a tool used for the same.SOLUTION: A method for perforating a glass substrate 1 having a thin-film solar cell element on the surface thereof includes: mounting a perforation assistant tool 2 on the glass substrate 1 such that a penetration hole 22 of the perforation assistant tool 2 is positioned around a perforation target part of the glass substrate 1; filling the penetration hole 22 of the perforation assistant tool 2 with a liquid; and perforating the perforation target part of the glass substrate by inserting perforation means 4 into the penetration hole 22. The perforation assistant tool 2 used for perforating the glass substrate 1 having the thin-film solar cell element on the surface thereof includes: the penetration hole 22 in a penetration assistant tool body 20; and a packing 21 formed of an elastic body provided on the peripheral edge of the penetration hole 22 on a surface of touching the glass substrate 1. |
