<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and accurately detect that toner supplied is allowed to reach a detection body without interrupting with a stirring member and toner is supplied up to a specified amount. <P>SOLUTION: A toner supply device comprises: a toner reception port; a feeding part for feeding toner from the toner reception port to the device; a toner detector for detecting that a specified amount of toner is supplied in the device; a stirring member which has a stirring blade and rotates to stir toner in the device; a rotation angle detector for detecting a rotation angle of the stirring member; and a recognition part for recognizing a rotation angle of the stirring member based on the output of the rotation angle detector. The feeding part feeds toner when the position of the edge of the stirring blade is in a predetermined range in which the flow path of toner from the toner reception port to the toner detector is not interrupted, based on the recognition of the recognition part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
