PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type of storage system.SOLUTION: In a storage system 1, client devices 20 and storage devices 10 are connected to a network 3. An application for controlling a recording function of the storage device 10 is installed on the client device 20. A user interface by which a user accesses the storage device 10 and operates the storage device 10 is provide. The storage device 10 comprises a network attached storage (NAS) function and the recording function, and the storage device 10 comprises no user interface for operating the storage device 10. A plurality of storage devices 10 can be connected to the network 3. When the client device 20 registers the plurality of storage devices 10 connected to the network 3, the client device 20 accesses the plurality of registered storage devices 10 and provides the user with a single user interface.
