The present invention relates to a device for operating a multimedia terminal for a vehicle during the drive of a vehicle or selectively deactivating an operation limitation function, which is mounted on the multimedia terminal for a vehicle to reduce the danger of a traffic accident caused when an output video is watched, according to necessity. The device for selecting operation limitation in a multimedia terminal for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a vehicle signal part (10) for transmitting various signals about the driving state of a vehicle; a multimedia part (20) for outputting videos and audio; and a connector (30) for connecting the vehicle signal part (10) to the multimedia part (20) and transmitting a parking signal, which indicates that a gearshift is in a parking state, and a vehicle velocity signal, which indicates that the velocity of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined velocity, from the vehicle signal part (10) to the multimedia part (20). In the device for limiting the operation of a multimedia terminal for a vehicle, which operates the multimedia part (20) normally if the vehicle velocity signal is not transmitted to the multimedia part (20), and blocks the output of a specific video through the multimedia part (20) and/or a specific operation of the multimedia part (20) if the vehicle velocity signal is transmitted to the multimedia part (20), the connector (30) includes a signal conversion part (40) for converting between a operation limitation state, in which the vehicle velocity signal is transmitted normally to the multimedia part (20), and a limitation lifting state, in which the transmission of the parking signal and the vehicle velocity signal to the multimedia part (20) is blocked and a virtual parking signal is transmitted to the multimedia part (20) by connecting the ACC power of the multimedia part (20) to a parking signal terminal (31) of the connector (30). |
