摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block casting method that can easily form a coating layer suitable for the sliding surface of a cylinder inexpensively, and can make the coating layer exhibit a superior sliding performance, and to provide a cylinder block casted by the method.SOLUTION: A method for casting a cylinder block 1 is used for formation of a coating layer 30 to a sliding surface of the cylinder block 1 of a hydraulic pump 7, and casts the cylinder block 1. The method includes: a deposition step of depositing a molten copper alloy 28 containing lead 27a and bismuth 27b on a cylindrical surface inside a cylinder 3 out of the sliding surfaces of the cylinder block 1; and an uneven distribution step of cooling the cylinder block 1 while rotating it around a central axis A in a state where the molten copper alloy 28 deposited on the cylindrical surface inside the cylinder 3, and unevenly distributing the lead 27a and the bismuth 27b in the centrifugal direction side with respect to the central axis A of the cylinder block 1 out of the cylindrical surfaces inside the cylinder 3.</p>
