PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect deterioration in airtightness in electronic equipment comprising a casing of sealed structure with built-in electronic components.SOLUTION: Internal light quantity measurement means 10 for measuring a light quantity is provided in a sealed casing 3 of electronic equipment 1. With the lapse of age of service, airtightness of the casing 3 deteriorates due to generation of a gap or a hole caused by degradation or the like of a seal material such as packing for sealing the casing. The quantity of light entering the casing 3 the airtightness of which has deteriorated, is measured by the internal light quantity measurement means 10. Determination means 11 actuates notification means 12 when an output of the internal light quantity measurement means 10 becomes a preset threshold or higher to notify a user of deterioration in airtightness of the casing 3. This notification can make the user recognize deterioration in airtightness of the casing 3. Thus, damage to a printed board 2 or electronic components caused by misty cutting liquid or the like entering the casing can be prevented. |
