摘要 The present invention relates to a random number generation device which is based on optical processes of quantum characteristics and has a light source (1) emitting photons randomly. The random number generation device includes: a light detector (2) which absorbs the randomly emitted photons and measures the number of photons (n) generated by the light source (1) in each time period (T); and a random extractor (3). The light detector (2) includes: a photon sensor (2.2) as a photon-electron converter; an amplifier which converts an electronic signal received from the photon sensor (2.2) to a voltage and amplifies the voltage signal (V); and an analog-digital converter (ADC/2.4) which encodes the amplified signal (V) into a digital value (d), transmits the digital value (d) to the random extractor (3) for additional process to generate a quantum random number based on the number of photons (n) generated by the light source (1) in each time period (T), and processes the amplified and received signal (V) from the amplifier (2.3) accordingly. The present invention also relates to a method for responding and a computer programming means.
