A terminal apparatus with a security alarm function active during charging comprises: a state determining unit which determines whether an operation state of a terminal when the a battery is charged corresponds to a predetermined surveillance condition; a security surveillance unit which monitors whether a predetermined security situation occurs based on a terminal state sensing value, if the operation state corresponds to the predetermined surveillance condition; and an alarm unit which controls an output unit to generate alarm for the occurrence state of the security situation according to set alarm rules, if the security situation occurs. Therefore, a security situation which occurs when the battery is charged with an increased likelihood of theft or loss, can be alarmed so that people in the surroundings can recognize the situation, thus a user of the mobile terminal and others can take suitable measures for the security situation so as to prevent theft or loss of the mobile terminal in advance. |
