A communication terminal in an ad-hoc network is provided with a wireless communication unit, a lower-layer protocol unit that operates in a lower layer of the network, and an upper-layer protocol unit that operates in an upper layer of the network. The lower-layer protocol unit contains a routing table that stores path information in which destination IP addresses are associated with next-hop IP addresses. The upper-layer protocol unit comprises the following: an information-sharing management unit that uses broadcast communication via the wireless communication unit to send and receive, to and from a neighboring communication terminal, messages each containing the IP address of this communication terminal; and a path-information recording unit that records, in the routing table, path information containing, as destination IP addresses and next-hop IP addresses, IP addresses from messages received via broadcast communication. |
