<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled device with both the merits of an electronic typewriter and a facsimile by constituting the device of an interface for controlling data transmission/reception, a MODEM, a mode selection function and a transmission/reception processing function. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted of the MODEM 15 for modulating data applied through an interface 10 connected with a public communication line, sending the modulated data to the public communication line and demodulating a sent modulated signal, the mode selecting function for selecting a communication mode or a document formation mode and the transmission/ reception processing function for transferring data obtained from storage document files in memories 5, 6 or by key operation at the time of the communication mode to the interface 10 and controlling the printing of the data received from the interface 10. Consequently, a document can be transmitted to a distant plate and a received document can be hard-copied, i.e. the device can be provided with both the merits of the electronic typewriter and the facsimile.</p> |
