ROTARY EQUIPMENT SHAFT-SEALING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary equipment shaft-sealing device having reduced running cost while allowing the replacement of only a packing and the use of a rotating shaft several times in spite of positional wear of a packing by changing a packing contact position on the rotating shaft.

SOLUTION: The shaft-sealing device is arranged around the rotating shaft 3 at a joint position between a driving side casing 5 of a pump 1 to be rotated by an electric motor and a pump casing 6. In a center opening 11b of one seal member 11 out of two annular seal members 11, 12 mounted neighboring each other on the outer peripheral face of the rotating shaft 3, an annular recessed portion 11c is formed into which a lip packing 14 having an approximately L-shaped cross section can be fitted. The lip packing is fitted into the annular recessed portion.
