<p>The present invention relates to a method for providing a tethering service, and to a terminal and a system for supporting the same. The method for providing a tethering service is capable of providing a tethering service by activating a tethering function in accordance with a request of a terminal which uses the tethering function, even if there is no additional setting process to support the tethering service in the terminal which provides the tethering function. To this end, the terminal for supporting the method for providing the tethering service, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a communications unit for supporting transmission and reception of information; and a control unit which searches for a terminal which provides tethering within a predetermined radius through the communications unit, requests the activation of the tethering function by transmitting identification information to the searched terminal, and when the tethering function is activated in the terminal which provides tethering, uses a data service based on an application provided by a specific service apparatus by connecting itself to the activated terminal which provides tethering.</p> |
