The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a secondary battery that can prevent an electrolyte solution from being scattered in a degassing process to control contamination of a product due to the scattering of the electrolyte solution. The method of manufacturing a secondary battery may comprise the steps of: generating gas inside a battery cell by performing a formation process for the battery cell including a dead space; forming a through hole in the dead space by closing a piercing tool of a degassing apparatus and discharging the gas inside the battery cell through the piercing tool; fusing the inner side portion of the dead space, which is close to an electrode assembly inside the battery cell, by closing a sealing tool of the degassing apparatus after discharging the gas; opening the piercing tool while the sealing tool is closed; and opening the sealing tool after the piercing tool is open. |
