<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for a crown shape holder capable of forming a good lubricant film and capable of suppressing the surface contact of a ball and a pocket surface. <P>SOLUTION: The outer peripheral surface of a mold part 15 for molding a pocket is subjected to grinding processing so that surface roughness Ra (designated by JIS B0601) becomes 0.1 μm or blow to be formed into a smooth surface. Then, fine processing is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the mold part 15 for molding the pocket by irradiating the outer peripheral surface of the mold part 15 for molding the pocket with a short pulse laser with a pulse width of 1-5 ps. The fine processing is applied for forming a plurality of grooves to outer peripheral surface of the mold part 15 for molding the pocket in extending in an elongated state in parallel to each other, and for repeated forming fine linear recessed parts and linear protruded parts with a certain width to the inner surfaces of those grooves in an alternate stripe state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
