The device (11) has a planar capacitive touchscreen (12) provided with a controller (15) i.e. microcontroller, that operates the touchscreen based on position or movement of a finger of an operator on the touchscreen. A holder is arranged in or on the touchscreen to hold a rotary knob (19) for receiving additional input of control commands. The knob is designed such that a signal transmitted from the knob and/or an operation of the knob are capacitively detected. The holder comprises a halt magnet (16) that is arranged behind the touchscreen and the knob.
