#CMT# #/CMT# Composite materials for use in production of nappy closures comprise two nonwoven outer layers (1, 1'), between which are parallel strips (2) of elastic sheet. The outer layers are bonded to each other between the elastic strips to form non-elastic strips. They are transparent and are colored or printed with a pattern (3) which extends over both elastic and non-elastic areas. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# In production of nappy closures. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a schematic view of a section of the composite material. 1, 1' : Nonwoven outer layers 2 : Strips of elastic sheet 3 : Printed pattern 4 : Wavy lines x : Direction of stretch of material #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred materials: The printing ink is based on polyvinyl butyral, cellulose nitrate or a mixture of cellulose nitrate and polyamide. #CMT#TEXTILES AND PAPER : #/CMT# Preferred features: The pattern comprises strips or wavy lines (4) at right angles to the direction of stretch (x) of the material. The printing is on the inner surface of one of the outer layers. The layer to be printed is primed to prevent color bleeding through. The elastic sections of the composite material are activated after printing by overstretching.
|
