Video analysis comprising: receiving a plurality of sections or chunks of video stream from a server 201, extracting one or more frames from each chunk 202, applying a static image analysis to each frame to generate a pornographic content rating for the frame 203, and combining the ratings of the frames to obtain a pornographic content rating for the entire video 204. The chunks may be non-contiguous and the locations and sizes of the chunks may be based on the size and length of the video stream. Preferably, the analysis is performed simultaneously with transmission of the stream to a video client, the transmission is throttled whilst the analysis takes place, and the video stream is terminated or blocked if the content rating 204 is above a threshold, indicating the video contains inappropriate nudity or sexual imagery. |
