A wireless power transfer device (100) electromagnetically couples a power transmitting device resonant coil (16) with a power receiving device resonant coil (29) to transmit power from a power transmitting device (1) to a power receiving device (2). The power transmitting device (1) of the wireless power transfer device (100) comprises: a control signal detection unit (14) for generating and transmitting a control signal (P1) based on the change of the voltage between both ends of the power transmitting device resonant coil (16); and a switching circuit (12) for, based on the control signal (P1), resonating the power transmitting device resonant coil (16).
