Disclosed are a rack bush and a rack pinion type steering apparatus having the rack bush for a vehicle. A rack bush, according to embodiments of the present invention, comprises: a bush body shaped like a hollow pipe, of which the outer peripheral surface is connected to the inner side of a rack housing and the inner peripheral surface is connected with a rack bar, and having a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion arranged on the outer peripheral surface, a plurality of first slits cut in the axial direction from an end of the large diameter portion, and second slits cut in the axial direction from an end of the small diameter portion and arranged to be alternated with the first slits on the circumference; and an elastic ring connected to the outer peripheral surface of the small diameter portion; and a stopper arranged on an end of the small diameter portion to prevent the elastic ring from being separated in the axial direction, together with the large diameter portion. |
