FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of a multipiece piston ring. The multipiece piston ring comprises one spring support made, at least, in the form of a single element, provided with a locking area, as well as one spring element made, at least, in the form of a single element, which is installed in a groove provided in the area of the inner circumferential surface of the spring support. The thickness (a) of a spring support wall both in the area of spring support ends facing the lock and in its rear area is generally the same, while, at least, one pocket is provided between the rear area and the corresponding lock end; that pocket runs along the circumferential area (?) with the least value of 60° and formed by the local reduction of spring support wall thickness.EFFECT: invention provides for equalised distribution of radial pressure along entire circumference of a piston ring.9 cl, 3 dwg |
