PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of origin correction by stabilizing detection of a reference position of an opening/closing device. SOLUTION: This opening/closing device is equipped with: an opening/closing body 10; a drive portion 20 which drives the opening/closing body 10 in opening and closing directions; an operating position detection portion 2 which detects an operating position of the opening/closing body 10 by detecting the operation of the drive portion 20; an origin detection portion 3 which outputs an origin signal by detecting the reference position P of the opening/closing operation of the opening/closing body 10 depending on the operating position of the drive portion 20; and a control portion 4 which controls the operation of the drive portion 20 on the basis of the operating position of the opening/closing body 10 with respect to the origin by performing the origin correction making the origin set in the operating position detected by the operating position detection portion 2 in the detection of the origin signal. The reference position P is set within the opening/closing operation range of the opening/closing body 10. The control portion 4 makes the origin correction by directing the operating direction of the opening/closing body 10 in only either the opening direction or the closing one.
