a transmitter; a receiver; an energy calculator configured to determine a normalized energy at the Nyquist frequency of a signal transmitted along a dispersive communication channel established between the transmitter and the receiver; and a mapping table generator configured to identify a peaking value at or above a selected tolerance level at or near the Nyquist frequency for a signal received by the receiver based on the normalized energy at the Nyquist frequency from the energy calculator. |
