The present invention relates to a method for determining open circuit/short circuit of a resolver. The method includes the steps of: receiving a reference signal; rectifying the reference signal; filtering the rectified reference signal; smoothing the filtered reference signal; and transmitting a reference signal abnormal signal if a voltage size of the smoothed reference signal is less than or equal to a reference voltage size. According to the present invention, the device and the method for determining open circuit/short circuit of a resolver can obtain the size of a direct current voltage through the process of converting an alternating current (AC) to a direct current (DC) in input/output signal status of the resolver, and compare the size of the direct current voltage with the reference voltage size to provide determination information on whether there is an open circuit in the resolver. Therefore, the device and the method of the present invention can provide the convenience by determining whether there is an open circuit in a resolver position sensor regardless of driving speeds, relative to the existing technology of detecting a motor position signal only when a hybrid vehicle is driven at a low speed while being unable to detect the motor position signal in a high speed drive. As a result of that, the device and the method of the present invention can improve reliability of a motor position sensing function used in the hybrid vehicle by blocking, in advance, malfunction that may occur in the vehicle. Furthermore, the device and the method of the present invention can enhance fail-safe performance for securing safety in order to prevent the vehicle from running away and causing an accident due to failures in the parts of the motor and an inverter. |
