<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a fluorescent color in a document in a general color suited to user's preference in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fluorescent color registration unit 31 (a) reads a color value of a fluorescent color on a registration sheet, (b) causes a printer 11 to print a peripheral color patch group including a plurality of color patches having the color value and color values on the periphery of the color value, (c) specifies a color patch, from the printed peripheral color patch group, a color patch selected by a user through user operation to an input device 14, and (d) registers the color value of the color patch and the color value of the fluorescent color in a color coordinate system of the printer 11 in association with each other. When the fluorescent color is determined to be present in an image of a document, a color conversion unit 32 uses, for the fluorescent color, the registered color value of the color patch corresponding to the fluorescent color, and generates image data of the image of the document in the color coordinate system of the printer 11 from the read image data of the image.</p> |
