PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc elimination mechanism for DC switch, a DC switch and DC breaker capable of swiftly electrically cutting off between terminals when contact points are opened.SOLUTION: An arc elimination part 19a includes a space 14 formed in a longitudinal direction of a fixed contact 17a or a movable contact 18a, which is a direction the arc extends between the movable contact 22a and the fixed contact 21a. In this space 14, the arc elongates. This prevents the arc from coming in contact with a member of the DC switch (for example, a link mechanism 16, an insulation holder 33 etc.). Accordingly, the arc voltage can be increased. When the arc voltage exceeds the voltage applied across a fixed contact 21a and a movable contact 22a, the arc is eliminated. Therefore, by increasing the arc voltage, the connection between the movable contact 22a and the fixed contact 21a can be swiftly cut off. |
