PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner capable of effectively utilizing a display part on a control device installed inside the outdoor unit.SOLUTION: An outdoor unit 30 of an air conditioner 10 used in a state of being connected to an indoor unit 20 includes: an outdoor casing 31; a compressor 32; and an outdoor side control substrate 40. To an outdoor side interface 41 of the outdoor side control substrate 40, in a state where the outdoor unit 30 and the indoor unit 20 are not connected, an inspection device 50 for transmitting a command for inspection is connected. An outdoor side display part 43 of the outdoor side control substrate 40, in a state where the outdoor unit 30 and the indoor unit 20 are connected, displays information regarding the air conditioner 10 at least one of in characters and in figures. The outdoor side display part 43, in a state where the inspection device 50 is connected to the outdoor side interface 41, performs display according to the command for inspection transmitted from the inspection device 50. |
