1350908 Block copolymer-other polymer compositions SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 8 June 1971 [10 June 1970] 28046/70 Heading C3P A composition comprises (a) 1 to 15% by weight of a block copolymer (A-B) n or (A-B) n -A where n is an integer, A is a vinyl and/or vinylidene aromatic polymer block, and B is a conjugated diene polymer block, and (b) 99 to 85% by weight of (i) an impact polymer composition formed by polymerizing a vinyl- and/or vinylidene-aromatic compound in admixture with an elastomer, and (ii) homopolystyrene. The mixture (b) (i) may be formed in the presence of a lubricant such as a white petroleum jelly. In Examples, a styrene-bbutadiene-b-styrene block polymer is mixed with a homopolystyrene and an impact polymer obtained from styrene and a styrene/butadiene copolymer, optionally including the above jelly. |
