PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic dictionary which can add attribute information to dictionary data by using a color display and prescribed easy operation, and also can realize color-coded display. SOLUTION: On an electronic dictionary which has dictionary data with information corresponding to key word and displaying information corresponding to the inputted character string in color, an attribute information adding means, which adds attribute to the dictionary data, is included, and an attribute color display means, which displays at least one selected dictionary data with color- coded according to the added attribute information, is prepared.
