PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to predict changes in velocity of the wind blowing on a wind power generation system and control output of a power system generator on the basis of the prediction.SOLUTION: A power generation capacity prediction system comprises; a data acquisition unit which acquires data on wind condition, weather information, and power generation capacity of a wind power generation system; a temporal database unit which stores past temporal data on wind condition, weather information, and power generation capacity of the wind power generation system acquired by the data acquisition unit; wind condition prediction unit which predicts future wind condition using the data on current wind condition, weather information, and power generation capacity of the wind power generation system acquired by the data acquisition unit and information stored in the temporal database unit; a power generation capacity prediction unit which predicts future power generation capacity of the wind power generation system using the wind condition information predicted by the wind condition prediction unit; and an output unit which outputs the information on the future wind condition predicted by the wind condition prediction unit and the information on the future power generation capacity of the wind power generation system predicted by the power generation capacity prediction unit.
