PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision simulation test device that improves reproducibility of pitching displacement of a sample body, and to provide a method of controlling a vehicle collision simulation test.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision simulation test device includes: a sled that is movably supported along a horizontal forward and backward direction and can be mounted with a sample body; a sled acceleration device that imparts acceleration to the sled and moves the sled; a first vertical drive actuator that imparts pitching displacement to a rearward side of the sled in a moving direction of the sample body; and a control device that controls descending movement of the first vertical drive actuator for simulating a descending state of the sample body on the basis of data obtained in a real vehicle collision test while controlling ascending movement of the first vertical drive actuator for imparting the pitching displacement. |
